This handsome volume is a collection of the work of Sydney based creative studio Christopher Doyle & Co. The studio specialises in visual and verbal identity, creative direction, campaigns and digital design. The book brings together the studio’s favourite posters created over the past decade.
Founder and Creative Director Christopher Doyle is an internationally recognised designer with over 18 years experience. His work has been used as the basis for educational material and has appeared in feature articles for Desktop, Creative Review and Grafik Magazine, and has won numerous international awards including a D&AD Yellow Pencil Award. In 2011 his work was selected as part of Graphic Design: Now In Production, an exhibition co-organised by the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City.
49 Posters by Christopher Doyle & Co. presents the studio’s playful graphic style, employing a striking use of the written word in combination with typography and photography. Often irreverent, always intelligent, Christopher Doyle & Co. have a habit of distilling communication in curious and beautiful ways. These posters exhibit the diversity of companies and individuals who have entrusted the studio, from the worlds of theatre, music, architecture, visual arts, film and photography and includes national theatre company Bell Shakespeare, digital music service Spotify, photographer Pierre Toussaint, musicians The Jezabels and Chet Faker as well as retailer and art space Steep St.
